It’s a twist on the New York Sour. We replaced red wine with the ruby ​​port to add more dryness and body. On top of that, that extra layer of fruitiness of apricot liqueur. All together this comes in special balance with the complexity of the whisky. New York was also the city where they released the first luxury Chivas whiskey in 1909.
This drink is a tribute to the Chivas Brothers from Aberdeen.



  • 45 ml Chivas Regal 12 years old
  • 15 ml Apricot liqueur (recommendation: Giffard Abricot de Rousillon)
  • 10 ml Ruby Port
  • 10 ml Sugar syrup (recommendation: 1:1 syrup – see how to make his sugar syrup below)
  • 10 ml Lemon juice
